About
String Education
Con Brio String Studio is a music school for violin, viola, and cello students beginning through advanced levels. The mission of Con Brio String Studio is to provide students with a solid musical foundation of learning to play a string instrument in a nurturing atmosphere where they gain valuable life skills.
The Suzuki Triangle: Student, Teacher, and Parent
The Suzuki approach, or Talent Education, believes that every child can learn and develop great ability given the right environment. This includes a few key components: weekly private instruction, listening regularly, attending group class, and maintaining a positive relationship between teacher, student, and parent. Suzuki stated "When love is deep, much can be accomplished."

Student: Motivated Learning
Learning can happen anytime. Not only will your child learn during their lesson, but they will learn as they practice and perfect things at home. The Suzuki Method focuses on refining techniques (such as the bowhold) during private and group lessons.
Teacher: Quality Instruction
We know how important it is for your child to receive quality education. That is why the instructors at Con Brio String Studio are highly qualified as performers as well formally trained as teachers.
Parent: Key to Success
As the parent, it is your job to ensure that your child practices and comes to lessons on time. You are also the home teacher, so the progress of your child is dependent upon you. Talk with your teacher for more information on practicing tips, or perfecting techniques!

Dr. Suzuki's Early Childhood
Education Concepts
1. Every child can learn!
Students who join Suzuki Group Education classes and beyond can start enjoying music education as early as a newborn.

2. Ability develops early
Dr. Suzuki strongly believed that, just as in learning a language, you cannot start learning music too early.
3. Environment nurtures growth
Throughout the hour, the children will sing songs, learn rhythms, play instruments, and absorb music at their own pace in a nurturing, Suzuki environment.
4. Success breeds success
Learning music has been shown to pave the way for high-level cognitive skills such as math and reading.
5. Parental involvement is critical
A sense of community is formed through parent education as well as the parent being present at all lessons to support and encourage the child.
6. Children learn from one another
Regular attendance of the group class provides a safe and comfortable setting for your child to develop the social skills of taking turns, sharing, participating in a group with his/her peers, and being both an audience member and soloist!
7. Encouragement is essential
group class teachers focus on the children gaining thorough mastery of each skill.
